Asrin Beach Hotel

The kids had a blast, and we made priceless family memories, helped along by some fellow Brits we met there. We probably wouldn’t return, though. We went out of season, so there was no scramble for sunbeds. The little water slides were great for the kids, the cocktails tasted good despite the tiny plastic cups, and the weather was lovely. Our room was big and clean, and the hotel itself was really clean too, but unfortunately the room smelled bad. The linen was all clean, and the location was great for getting to the beach. The in-house photographer was excellent and worth every penny. Food was a bit of a struggle unless you like olives, mozzarella, salad leaves, and lots of dips. The kids ended up having chips every meal. WiFi cost 7 euros. Staff, including reception, were miserable and not particularly friendly, while quite a few guests were rude and pushy. At 9 p.m. there were five songs for the kids, then that was it.

We couldn’t get a good night’s sleep because the rooms have no sound insulation and the noise carried straight in. The air conditioning didn’t work at all either. We reported it to the front desk and got told they’d take care of it, but nobody ever came. Breakfast was a disaster: stale food, very few choices, and poor hygiene. The staff were extremely rude and unprofessional, especially at the front desk. Questions and requests were met with an attitude and no interest in helping. Problems were simply ignored, and their behavior ruined the stay.

We had a nice time for the rest of our holiday, but we enjoyed ourselves outside the hotel. We liked the hamam people the most, and they were really good. We’d thought about taking the children there, but we’d never go to that hotel again. We might go there again, just not to the same place. We stayed there two weeks ago. The hotel itself was okay, but the bedroom was really bad. Our balcony room had no view at all, though we could hear people dancing and playing loud music until midnight, so it was hard to sleep. The reception person wasn’t helpful, and the people there seemed miserable. I asked to change rooms and was willing to pay extra, but we were still kept in the same room. The food was poor, and the reception people kept staring at us, which made us uncomfortable. They weren’t friendly to us.

From the start the hotel was dirty, and the staff were rude and dismissive, especially toward English guests. The food was awful, repetitive, and barely edible. Water kept leaking from the air conditioning all over our room, and the beds felt like rocks, so getting a decent night's sleep was impossible. A terrible experience. If cleanliness, decent service, or basic comfort matter to you, avoid this place.
