Skyblue Istanbul Hotel

We were really pleased with our stay. The room was lovely and super clean, the food was seriously amazing, and the location was good. Best of all, the staff were wonderful. If I fly through Sabiha again, I'll definitely come back.

The hotel itself isn't bad, maybe a 3-star place, but I had several problems with the staff. They tried more than once to charge me extra. We agreed on 650 lire over the phone, but when I arrived they asked for 950 lire. I got them to accept the agreed price, then when I extended my stay they again tried to take 950 lira for one day. Only one staff member, a student, knows English. The others act as if they understand. They also refused to clean the room while I was staying there. Even if you stay a whole week, they still won't clean it.

The staff were very friendly and helpful, and free parking was a big bonus. The hotel was good, though cleanliness could be better.

The room was the one decent part, mainly because it was a good size. The rest of the stay was a disgrace. Over 6 nights, I asked three times for the room to be cleaned. It wasn't done until mid-afternoon on our last day. When we asked, they said one cleaner was sick. We got no fresh towels or sheets for 5 nights. The internet was bad, and we were told it would be upgraded within two days. It was one excuse after another. Reception staff were often smoking. None of this is made up, despite what seems to be the case with many of the 5/5 ratings.
