Cappadocia Pegasos Cave Suite Hotel

We stayed in Cappadocia for two weeks and moved between a few hotels. We usually read reviews on booking.com before choosing, and this one seemed just right: a porch jacuzzi where we could watch the balloons. The rooms were neat and comfortable, and breakfast was great. After check-in, we were told the jacuzzi was broken, but they'd move us to the 'best room' for the next two nights. From our first room, we had to stand beside the jacuzzi and lean over to catch sight of a few balloons on the first morning. Several more passed later, just before landing, long after sunrise. The hotel faces the wrong way, so you can't watch the sunrise balloons from here. The next evening we got the better room, but it was downstairs with no view. You need to go up two floors to see anything. If you want to watch balloons from your room, this isn't the place. It wasn't a terrible stay, just not what the online pictures and description led us to expect. The staff were friendly and tried to help, but seemed unconcerned about the problems we raised, perhaps because offering another room was all they could do.

Our rooms were roomy, cozy, and well furnished. They had a kettle, a little coffee machine, and a mini refrigerator, which came in handy. Shops, sites, and restaurants are easy to reach on foot. The hotel has nicely themed rooms, friendly service, and an included breakfast with plenty of filling choices. They can also help arrange lots of things to do in the area.

We loved the room with the big jacuzzi, and the rooftop view is stellar, literally. The staff were incredibly helpful and friendly. We had a long, really nice conversation with Emre about Turkish traditions and beliefs, plus more of the region's history. It helped us feel more connected to the place.

The staff really made our stay. Everyone, from reception to the bar, kitchen, and housekeeping, was friendly and helpful. They packed us breakfast for our early airport trip and helped us book suitable activities. The hotel is in a developing part of town, but many good restaurants, cafes, and popular tourist spots are an easy walk away. During our hot air balloon ride, spotting the hotel from the sky was such an exciting moment. The place looked just like the pictures and was super clean and well maintained.
