Grand Uçhisar Hotel

Rooms were okay, though there was so much condensation that anything placed against the walls got wet. The staff weren’t especially friendly. At check-in they tried to charge us about 200 euros for a balloon ride, then the next day the price was down to 150, so I’m not sure I’d trust them with excursions. Breakfast was okay. The location wasn’t bad, with most major areas walkable and decent restaurants nearby.

I really didn’t want to leave, but had to carry on with my tour. The rooftop restaurant has an amazing view, and the staff are very kind. My standard room was quite narrow but still enough for a stay, with a city view. The quality and price together are a surprise, and the location in Uçhisar is excellent. It’s suitable for families too. Thanks to everyone, see you again.

Breakfast was the highlight for me, easily one of the best hotel breakfasts I’ve had. Everything was handmade, so tasty, and I looked forward to getting up for another one each day 💕. The building is easy to reach, with parking out front, and Uchisar castle is an easy walk. Our room was spacious, very clean, and had a fairly large refrigerator. The staff were helpful, kind, and polite. Don’t forget to buy one of the lovely handmade bracelets to support the local lady who lives nearby 💞

There’s a garden area on the first floor with beautiful flowers in early June, and a kind employee moved our vans to the upper floor, which was a nice touch. The hotel has a somewhat authentic Turisk vibe, though “Palaces” often lack amenities at this price point. The rooms are small with little storage, and there’s no bathroom shelf space. One side of the bed has a charging plug, while the other has an obsolete old phone plug. The fridge was nice and cold, though! Be aware of the stairs: from the parking area it’s one flight down, then at least one flight up to the rooms, so it’s not suitable if you don’t want extra stairs. We went out for sunset and dinner. I heard there are three groceries and some dining within walking distance. There’s a sign offering local activities, but I’d suggest asking ahead about booking. I was with a small group tour and asked the front desk about a local Haman experience; they told me to ask my tour manager, which wasn’t very helpful. There’s also no coffee onsite before the very early balloon pickups, even though tourism here is built around those early departures. A coffee option would be nice. I heard breakfast is on the rooftop from around 7:30, but I haven’t been up there yet.
