Nothing worked for us: the room, service, or location. Don't be taken in by the 4.9 rating. I just stayed there, and I felt I wasted my money. It's a very quiet spot far from Goreme center, and you can feel cut off while staying there. I chose it because I didn't want a cave hotel, but the bathroom was dirty and the toilet was broken. There was a bad smell from the washroom, and breakfast was horrible. Service was poor too. The girl at reception asked for a tip before handing over the key, before we'd even checked in. I was very disappointed. When I asked for a refund or a room change because of the broken bathroom, they said they couldn't do either. I left the next day, even though I'd booked three nights.

The staff were wonderful and very courteous. The rest was troublesome: cold air came into the large room from outside, and smoke from the restaurant stove drifted into the rooms and disturbed our sleep. There was no toilet door, and running the bathtub brought an unpleasant smell from the pipes.

The room was very comfortable, and the staff were helpful and friendly. Since our flight from Nevsehir was late, they let us leave our luggage there until 6.00 pm. I would recommend this hotel.

I booked at the last minute, the day before, and wasn't expecting much, but I had a really nice stay. They let me check in around 11 am. It's not a cave hotel, more like a typical Cappadocian home, and it felt homey. My room was bright and clean, with three windows and a large bed that I think could fit three people. The hot water worked, which matters when it's so cold there. Breakfast was decent, with bread and several jams, coffee or tea, an omelette, and a really good tortilla-like dish. The only drawback was the location. It's a little way from Uchisar center, about a 10-minute walk to restaurants and a few more minutes to the viewpoint over the Uchisar landscape.
