Cappadocia Abras Cave Hotel

Panda, the sweetest and friendliest dog, greeted us each morning with a wagging tail and became part of our Cappadocia memories. Our room was cozy and carved into the rock, giving us an authentic cave stay while still being comfortable. The balcony view was breathtaking, waking up to the sight of Cappadocia. Our host, Farooq, made us feel at home from the moment we arrived. He was always ready with recommendations and travel tips, and even added thoughtful little gestures that made the visit special. The hospitality went above and beyond. Thanks to Farooq and the Abras Cave team for such a warm stay. We can’t wait to come back someday!

We stayed here in Dec 2025 and didn’t enjoy it. Cars can’t get to the hotel, so hauling our bags about 100 m uphill from the road was traumatic. There’s no restaurant, and the property was very average. The rooms and bathrooms were modest, with cheap accessories.

What made the place special was how it felt like being welcomed into someone’s home. The staff were warm, caring, and knowledgeable about the area. They gave us helpful recommendations and even found us a hot air balloon spot after tickets had sold out everywhere else. We couldn’t believe they managed it! The cave rooms were beautiful, authentic, clean, and cozy, with modern comforts. Breakfast each morning was fresh and local, and you could taste the care in the food. Cappadocia Abras Cave Hotel was a trip highlight. We’ll never forget the stay and can’t wait to return.

Breakfast was hearty, and the buffet and service were excellent. The friendly staff helped make the atmosphere welcoming. This is a memorable, authentic mountain retreat if you’re after solitude and nature, though the remote setting means long drives to the nearest city. The stone walls and wooden details give the cave hotel a cozy, rustic feel. The cave structure also means it can get quite cold in winter, so come prepared for the chill.
