What bothered me most was how staff handled the damage to my luggage. The porter broke the handle and didn’t tell us, and when we brought it up, nobody responded with an apology or compensation. The room was dusty and poorly maintained too. Awful service, I wouldn’t recommend staying here.

The hilltop setting gave us a nice sunset view, but it was a long way from nearby amenities. Inside, the rooms were poorly maintained: dusty floors and some lights that didn’t work. On our second morning we found a large spider in the bathtub, and reception didn’t answer when we called for help. Many other requests were ignored or left unanswered, and the service was poor throughout. Breakfast was horrendous, with only fried chips, fried spring rolls, and boiled eggs. Dinner improved a little after we complained, but the service still wasn’t good. Staff did carry our bags to the rooms when we arrived. The hotel presents the stay as a cave experience, but in my view the service makes it unworthy of the stars it claims as a hotel.

A lovely place to unwind and switch off, with helpful staff and a great buffet dinner. The rooms are in refurbished historic stone buildings. Because the hotel is remote, WiFi and mobile data are poor.

The rock-carved rooms make for an interesting stay. They’re humid and warm, which is welcome because it gets really cold outside. The restaurant food was tasty, though there wasn’t much variety. Set on a hill beyond town, the hotel is quiet but a long way from shops and restaurants.

I loved the location, especially the night and sunset views. The staff were friendly and the service was great. The buffet was nice, and I enjoyed the appetizers and drinks, which tasted good and were presented well for the price. The entrees stood out to me too. Desserts tasted good and looked good, though I thought they were a little less worth the money. A perfect experience for me. 💕
