El Baboos Hotel

The room service was terrible, and it felt like there were no real services at all. Even though we were told the room had been cleaned, there was hair in it and the bathroom was dirty. We also didn’t get slippers, a toothbrush, or toothpaste. Breakfast had very few choices, and the food didn’t seem fresh. The cheese looked like it had come from someone else’s plate, been rearranged, and served again. I’ve stayed in many hotels, but in my opinion this one doesn’t deserve even one star, let alone four. A very disappointing stay.

It was a clean, new hotel, but construction on the building next door made a frustrating amount of noise. Breakfast was terrible, with only a few choices, and even those tasted bad. There wasn’t any coffee, I mean, what?

The buffet breakfast had lots of fresh, tasty options for different tastes, and the staff were polite and always made the stay pleasant. Rooms and common areas were impeccably clean, with clear attention to detail. We really enjoyed our stay and would highly recommend the hotel.

We left and found another hotel after they said our reservation had been cancelled. We’d booked through Booking.com, received a confirmation email, and arrived in the late afternoon exhausted and ready to check in. They said they no longer did business with Booking.com because payment was too slow, even though they were still listed there. That didn’t make sense. They wanted us to pay a little more, which would have been okay, but they were unfriendly and unpleasant, didn’t apologize for the inconvenience, and seemed not to care.
