Lavanta Tepesi Otel Salda

We only spent one night here while moving around Turkey, but it was easily our best stop. If we’d had more time, we’d gladly have stayed a week. The hotel is close to Salda lake, and the staff, especially manager Umit, helped make our stay comfortable. We’d been looking for another place because our first hotel was occupied, and luckily Lavanta Tepesi hotel had a room. We ended up with a spacious, modern, high quality premium room for what we’d pay at an ordinary 3-star hotel. Everything felt new. There was a kettle, water, and tea in the room, which we hadn’t had anywhere else that week. Breakfast was decent too.

It felt welcoming, with an elegant style and a comfortable atmosphere.

We’d booked days ahead, but the payment situation wasn’t what we’d been told. We were initially told cards were accepted, then after all that travel, we were told we could only pay in cash or by bank transfer. If we’d known, we could have come prepared. We asked if we could pay once it was processed since we’d arrived tired after a long trip, but they said that wasn’t possible during the holiday. The reception was awful, with forced smiles and no helpfulness. This isn’t how guests should be welcomed or how service should work. I’d never recommend the place.
