8/10
The room was comfortable, and the price felt like a good deal if you pay under $50 a night. The hotel is old, as is the neighborhood, so mornings get noisy and sleeping past 8 am is unlikely. There was a strong petrol smell in the water, which made it best to keep the bathroom door shut. Breakfast was ordinary, the service was great, and the elevator had its own interesting character.

Really liked this hotel, it was so good. The staff were especially nice, particularly kamer and ali. Thanks, guys, and I’m looking forward to seeing you again.

The staff were very friendly and helpful, and the bed was comfortable. Our room was pretty clean, though it felt old and could use renovation. There’s no AC, only a fan.

The room was huge and clean, and the hospitality was incredible. I’d only just switched off my motorbike outside when they offered me a safe place to park it overnight. They also gave me lots of kind recommendations for anything I asked about. I’m already thinking of coming back on my way from Georgia.

Parking the car was really difficult. There’s a garage, but you have to pay to leave it there. Zonguldak itself also isn’t especially pretty or interesting. During our three nights, though, the people were friendly, the room was clean, and breakfast was good and well organised. The fan in the room wasn’t enough, and air-conditioning was the one thing missing.
