For a 2-3 star hotel, it’s fine for a nine-hour layover when you just want to get out of the airport. It’s clean, check-in was easy, and the airport is a 14-minute ride away. I wouldn’t choose it for more than a layover or transit, though. It’s extremely basic, with no windows or fresh air, so I had to leave the door open to get some sun and air. It could use paint and upgrades.

The price and airport location are hard to beat, and there’s secure parking. Attendants were polite and helpful, and the WiFi was very fast. The room was rough around the edges, but at least it had been swept and the linens seemed fresh. We stayed a few nights in August. It’s basic and dingy, but probably works if you’re on a budget and only need a bed. Stains on the walls and floors hadn’t been cleaned or repainted. The faucet and TV worked, though things seemed poorly maintained, including a loose doorknob. The fire detector had been removed. There was almost no natural light, just a tiny high window in the bathroom, and sound carried throughout the building. We could hear what other guests were doing. The room smelled strongly of mothballs, and the hot water never got much beyond warm.

The driver was on time at the airport, and the ride back was arranged just as smoothly. The owner did everything possible to make sure my guests and I were comfortable. Staff were friendly and the room was clean. It’s close to everything while still giving you a countryside feel. I had a very happy short stay and will definitely come back.

The night staff were very nice, but one person in the morning was absolutely surly. The door lock didn’t work, and there was an open bathroom window with a wasp nest inside the room.

The food was amazing, and the customer service was 10 out of 10. Staff checked in to make sure I was comfortable, and transportation was available for my airport trips. The team at studio 27inn made my stay in Trinidad really smooth. You guys rock, 10/ recommended.
