We liked the pool on both visits and appreciated the security. Our first stay, in an upper-level room, was decent, and that's part of why I'm giving two stars instead of one. We returned because we knew the place and liked the location, but the second visit was a big letdown. The lower-level suite was terrible. Its layout felt poorly thought out, with too much furniture and little room to move around. The bathrooms were bad too, with no toilet paper holder, and the second bed didn't even have a proper frame. I was shocked by how much worse it was than our first room. We also had a few really unpleasant interactions with staff. There was garbage by the pool that stayed in the same spot for both days we were there, so I'm unsure how often that area is cleaned. I don't understand how this is called a five-star hotel, and we won't be back. If you're looking for five-star accommodation in Tobago, this isn't it. We had a much better stay at an Airbnb for the second half of the trip, and there are better places around.

I only stayed a few hours because I had a flight that night. I was grateful a room was available at the last minute, but for the price it was cramped, small and dirty. The sheets, pillows and towels were stained, there was no water provided, and we had to pay extra for everything. The cost felt exorbitant for the amenities. The bathroom was so tight that someone bigger than me, as most people are, would hit their knees on the wall while using the toilet. I did like the shower. The hotel isn't close to beaches, and the service was lacking. The front desk seemed to be run by a couple and their two daughters. I asked the couple why the Google listing calls it five stars, and the woman didn't answer. I can't see anything luxurious or five-star about it beyond the price of a mediocre room. I'd skip it in Tobago and spend the same amount on a larger, cleaner room with better amenities.

For a one-night stay, it was pretty nice, and the people were welcoming. The woman who showed us our room and amenities was very kind. They actually walk you to your room, which felt different from American hotels. There's free coffee and tea in the lobby. Drinks in the fridge cost extra and seemed pricey compared with nearby shops, for example, a bottle of water was 18TT when you could get one for 5TT. The pool was nice and open until 10 pm. The room was modern and clean, though I noticed a discolored stain on one sheet. I'd recommend it.

I'd stay here again. The staff were pleasant and helpful, and we had a really nice experience. The hotel is just around the corner from lots of bars and restaurants, less than a quarter mile away, though you might not realize how many food and drink options are nearby when you first arrive.

We felt safe and had lots of friendly encounters during our stay. The location is near major tourist attractions and plenty of places to eat. We were there on a busy weekend for Island Crashers, so the noise from the youths was understandable. It was an awesome time for our family of four, including our ten-year-old. Check-in and checkout were easy, the room was clean, the beds were comfortable, and the pool was a nice extra. We'd stay again.
