The calm atmosphere made it easy to unwind, and the staff were consistently helpful and attentive. Tropikist was spotless and clearly well looked after, with a good range of excellent food. I had a wonderful, relaxing stay and would gladly come back.

The beach massage on our last day was a lovely way to finish the trip, and breakfast was a highlight, especially the omelettes, pancakes, and coconut bake. The location worked well too, about a minute by car from store bay and three minutes from the airport. We were welcomed with drinks and shown to a spacious, clean seaview room that smelled wonderful. They even decorated it for my birthday. The reception area had a great feel, the grounds were spotless, and the pool and jacuzzi looked just like the pictures. Management checked in by WhatsApp to see how things were going. Dinner on the first night was disappointing. My chicken was cold, the portion was small for the price, and it didn’t feel restaurant quality, so we skipped dinner there after that. Maybe it was just a one-off. We had a great few nights and would definitely return.

The resort’s smaller, boutique size was a plus for us, since getting between the buildings, beach, and pool never meant a long walk. The pool wraps around the property, stayed clean, and had a comfortable water temperature. Our room also looked much more modern in person than it did in the photos, and was clean and beautiful. Housekeeping came promptly at 10am each morning, so we returned from breakfast to a clean room. The manager often checked in, and staff were warm and attentive. We booked all-inclusive and found it well worth the upgrade. There were three meals a day plus an afternoon tea-time snack, with different dishes each day. The food tasted great, and despite what I’d read beforehand, we had local cuisine during our stay. Drinks were about the usual quality for a resort, though poured very generously. One thing to know is that the beach here wasn’t swimmable during our visit, possibly depending on the season, since there’s no rock barrier to break the waves. It didn’t spoil the trip for me, as I’ve been to plenty of beaches, and we went to Pigeon Point and the Nylon Pools to enjoy the sea. We also visited Coco Reef Resort, where our family was staying. The beach was nice, but we didn’t care for the rooms, food, or common areas, and I’m glad we chose this resort instead. I’d seen alarming reviews about condensation making rooms soaking wet, but there are instructions in the room about preventing it. Keeping the AC on meant we didn’t have that problem. We did have intermittent power outages late one night, though we were asleep and it didn’t affect us. On a separate evening the running water went out after we’d washed up. That would have been a nuisance otherwise, and I don’t know how long it took to come back. I stayed five days with my partner. I’m not local, so I was comparing this with resorts I’ve visited in Jamaica, Mexico, and Cuba, and I’d happily choose this place again over those destinations.

The peaceful feel of the place was lovely, and we enjoyed the good food, clean bathroom, and spacious room. Room service was on point. The staff and service were a 10/10 and they accommodated every request. They do need to sort out the internet and cable in the room.

The team made the stay feel special. Opal from Room Service checked on my son and me each day, Lyndon the Operations Manager was kind and accommodating, and Malaika, the Guest Relations Officer, made sure we were settled soon after arrival. Natasha, the Assistant General Manager, regularly stopped to talk and help, and it was clear she cares about guests’ comfort. Shariese and Jim at the restaurant were friendly and attentive. Nicole, the Duty Manager, was elegant and graceful, and always made sure we were having a great stay. Adrian was helpful, easy to talk to, and informative, with a warm smile. I could imagine him running his own place one day. The pool and jacuzzi were fantastic, especially the jacuzzi, which was a 10/10 for me. The gym was a letdown: there was one bench press, and the other three machines weren’t working properly, so I ended up joining a nearby gym offsite. Wi-Fi was reliable, and housekeeping was friendly and professional. My room was spacious, spotless, and thoughtfully laid out, with a large walk-in wardrobe and two comfortable double beds for my son and me. The wide sliding doors opened straight onto the pool, bar, and restaurant area. Drinks, teas, shower gel, creams, a hair dryer, iron, and ironing board were all provided. The air conditioning worked well, and daily housekeeping kept the room pristine. The towel and bedding designs after each cleaning were a charming touch. I chose the all-inclusive package and liked the rotating selection of meals, snacks, and drinks. The food was flavourful, with a nice focus on Caribbean cuisine. I only wish the hot dishes had been served warmer. Restaurant staff were polite, attentive, and consistently gave excellent service. Tropikist Beach Hotel had immaculate grounds, a peaceful feel, and a beautifully lit pool area at night. Malaika gave me a genuinely warm welcome, and check-in was smooth, with a welcome cocktail. The location was convenient, less than five minutes from the airport without noise disruption, and close to many of Tobago’s beaches and attractions. It suited a relaxing family stay, a romantic getaway, or time away on my own.
