Forte Hotel Changhua

Getting around was easy, with convenience shops like 7-Eleven all over, and Changhua Christian Hospital just a two-minute walk away. The hotel was very clean, the staff were friendly, and they even had coin laundry on site.

The air conditioner was excellent, and I liked nearly everything about the hotel. I did notice that the shower pressure was very low, and the metal fittings around the shower piping were coming away from the wall. There was also a hard-working waiter in the dining area who seemed to be having a bad day. He was completely quiet, made no eye contact, and didn't seem friendly. The gym could use a few additions: a vertical smith machine, a cable machine station, dumbbells up to 20kg, and kettlebells up to 20kg.

The room was spacious, clean, and nice, and I slept really, really well, which was what I needed most. The staff were very friendly, and I really enjoyed staying here. The price was a bit higher than the normal rate, but I've paid as much or more elsewhere and been less comfortable. Breakfast is the one area that could improve. There weren't many choices, and most of the food wasn't hot enough.

I stayed here on a business trip and felt very comfortable. The room was spacious, with a bathtub, a big bed, and a big-screen TV, and breakfast was good. I especially liked the omelet. One downside for someone visiting Changhua for the first time is that the hotel is a bit far from Taichung HSR station, which can make getting there difficult for foreigners.
