The carpet was dirty, the shower setup felt very old-fashioned, and the room itself was very small. Internet was slow too. It was noisy during our stay, with karaoke, motorcycles and parking sounds. The staff didn’t seem professionally trained or respectful toward guests. It felt like they cared only about their own convenience.

The rooms are clean and spacious, with enough amenities and furnishings for a short stay. There’s plenty of parking, and it’s a good option for a weekend trip to the south of the island. Breakfast is served in Building 9 from 6-9, I think. There’s no closet, just hanging space with shelves underneath, so ask for extra hangers. Laundry service is available, but there’s no drying, so you’ll need to hang wet clothes in your room or on the balcony. Look for the unusual sign warning you not to hang clothes on the AC. Our room’s AC was a little noisy, so light sleepers might want to bring ear plugs.

It takes about 20 minutes by taxi from the Highspeed Railroad Station to reach this hotel in a fairly rural area near Chiayi City, in the middle of Taiwan. The facilities are modern and clean, and the hotel is pretty decent. I noticed lots of Chinese tourists staying here on their way to the Alishan.
