Ji Guang Dive Resort - Hostel

A pleasant guest house with a nice view in a quiet spot. The staff were very friendly and accommodating, including with dietary needs, and they offered lifts to and from the ferry port. One thing to know if you planned to cook: they no longer let guests use the kitchen stove.

We already had somewhere to stay, so we didn't board, but we really enjoyed meeting the Toro family. We met Jeff on the ferry over, and he was helpful to us as non-locals. He invited us up for coffee, and later we stopped by for a chat, some seaweed jello, and a tour of the BnB. The next morning, while we were riding, we saw him and Lisa walking and they asked us to stop in again. We went afterward and had another nice visit. They're good people, and we'd consider staying there if we can return.

The view was excellent, and the guest room was large. But the staff came across as cold and weren't helpful. They gave us incorrect information about facilities on the island, and seemed too focused on selling snorkeling or diving trips. The host never showed up to welcome guests.

The bedroom view was lovely, and breakfast was decent. What really made our stay, though, was how the staff took care of everything we needed. Thanks so much!
