Love B&B

The room had lots of windows and a great view, and the owner was friendly. Breakfast was prepared with real care. The mattress may be old, though, since it made noises.

The owner was warm and attentive, and personally took care preparing breakfast. The setting was elegant, which made for a lovely stay. I'd happily come back if I get the chance.

The worst part in summer was the living room with no air conditioning. It was sweltering, and I'd never stayed in a guesthouse without AC in that space before. The sofa was too small, and sitting for a long time on the rectangular wooden chairs and tables made my back ache. If you're sensitive to heat, think carefully before booking. In the four-person room on the second floor, anyone sleeping on the floor will be woken by light at 5 am, so consider that if you need a dark room. The fridge was full of the owner's things, apparently because the owner usually lives there, leaving no room to freeze the things we'd bought. My child's shoes were left behind and nobody told us; I had to call and ask. Really disappointing.

We had a lovely, clean setting, with attractions nearby that suited a family trip. The owner and his daughter made a delicious, home-cooked breakfast that felt really warm and welcoming. They even got in touch specifically to let us know we'd left something behind. The place is well run and the service is great. Highly recommend!
