Grand Bay Resort

The kids had a lot to enjoy, from the heated shallowish pool, slide, and water play area to the big ball pool and pretend clinic, supermarket, castle, and dress-up toys. The staff were friendly and resourceful, and everyone’s English was quite good. Breakfast and the hot pot dinner were both delectable and great value. The DIY leaders were funny and creative. The people who with the four-story slide were gentle, professional, and polite. Deer Paradise is across the street. Further down are a McDonald’s and Starbucks, while 7-11 is a bit of a drive. Next door there’s a Google and a reasonably priced swimwear shop if you forgot your swim cap. Our family really enjoyed the stay and will likely come back.

The elevator took a long time to arrive, and the staff weren’t very welcoming. I’ve stayed at many lovely resorts around the world, so the hospitality here left me disappointed and earned this place a low score from me.

Kids will probably love the huge, multi-storey slide. The room layout was comfortable, the bed was nice, and breakfast had a decent buffet. A really nice hotel in Hengchun town.

We enjoyed the food at both breakfast and dinner, but the room itself was a letdown. There was an old slipper left under the sofa and plastic rubbish on the cabinet, so it hadn’t been cleaned properly. The pool also wasn’t available during our stay. The place was good otherwise, but those things disappointed me.
