Tsou Ma Lai Farm

The scenery was lovely, and there’s a big playground for children. I also enjoyed hearing about bee rearing, with honey and drinks available to purchase. The farm animals were beautiful.

The park felt old and poorly maintained, with peeling paint, and there wasn’t much to do. The one activity we really enjoyed was the Ukrainian circus performance. It was sad that there were only five of us watching. I wish more people could appreciate their performances.

The acrobatics show in the amphitheater was good, and it’s the only reason I’m giving this place two stars instead of one. I also saw the horse show, and the tricks were performed well, but the horses seemed unhappy and stressed. Some looked ungroomed, one had an uneven coat, and another seemed a bit too thin. I didn’t see the farm’s other animals, but I hope they’re doing better and that the farm improves how it treats the horses. I spent five hours here with a group and wouldn’t come back. The fading paint made the place look very old and uncared for. Kids might enjoy things like the bumper boats and playground, but there’s very little seating for adults. The restaurant was okay, and the food and flavors tasted alright. I came across horses tethered near the arena. Their heads were hanging down, and the chains or ropes were too short for them to graze. There was no water, and the little pony was in direct sunlight with no way to get into the shade.

The farm is really big, and there are boat rides too. You can also cross the hanging bridge if you're feeling adventurous 😁. We went during Chinese New Year, when they had some shows, including a horse riding show.
