The hotel itself was in good condition and not bad, but I spent almost an hour wandering around in the afternoon because the address was wrong. It’s also far from Chateau resort. For a trip with your girlfriend or family, I’d suggest choosing somewhere else.

The location made it easy to shop, with a main street, breakfast shops, and 7-Eleven right downstairs, and South Bay wasn’t far away. There was no parking or breakfast, but for the price it was excellent value. The service was warm and made us feel at home, which was different from what we’d read online. We wanted a room for four, but the owner asked our children’s ages and suggested a more suitable, cheaper room instead. A bad operator would usually push the pricier one, wouldn’t they? We stayed two nights, and they did housekeeping again, which was thoughtful. When our child threw up from heatstroke, they changed the sheets right away. I found the price very reasonable. For a guesthouse, anyone with high expectations or who needs good sleep should consider somewhere like Summer House. We’d choose this place again.

I was a bit shocked by the reviews at first, but honestly it wasn’t nearly as bad as they made it sound = = For a guesthouse at this price, I thought it was great value. You can tell the owner really wants to improve the surroundings and make the place more comfortable. The room had what it needed, and the bathroom fixtures were quite clean. Even the sink faucet had no limescale!! The owner also recommended a parking lot that cost only 100 NTD. You can rent a scooter after parking, which is super convenient. I think one star would be way too harsh!!

The floor-to-ceiling windows look straight out onto the busy crowds on Kenting Main Street, which makes shopping at night really easy. Just be aware that unpacking can be quite a hassle if you check in late.
