Kenting MY HOME

My Home has over 50 beds, so it’s a fairly large capsule hotel, with individual beds stacked two high. The mats are four inches thick and comfortable. Fans bring in air from outside, where it’s air-conditioned. Each dormitory has its own bathroom, and with more than 20 dorms there are more than 20 bathrooms. If one is occupied, you can use a neighboring one. Each capsule has a door, so snoring wasn’t much of a problem for me unless someone was in the main room. I spent a week here. For facilities, I’d put it among the best hostels in Kenting and above average for much of Taiwan. The common room is comfortable, with a family area that works well for movie night and lots of small individual tables. Free soda, instant noodles, coffee, tea, and laundry are available by asking the concierge. There’s also a microwave at the back, but the kitchen is off limits. My Home is laid back and has a diverse mix of people, though fewer backpackers. Across the street, KO Hostel (Kenting Original) tends to draw more adventure seekers and would score higher for social activities. Personally, I’d split a trip between the two.
