The staff were helpful and friendly. I’d come back, and it’s a great place to stay.

A nice place.

The room was comfortable and clean, and the location was good. We booked the day before the long weekend, so most of the stay went well. But the first two nights were really unpleasant because of the other guests. The sound carries badly between the two buildings. We were first put in the second building, beside the "Xin Yuan Hotel," and that group partied in the Xin Yuan lobby until morning. They were staying in both buildings. On May 2, at 12:10 AM, a large group arrived next door and upstairs. There was constant noise from moving tables and chairs and heavy footsteps. We reminded them twice, then called the guesthouse owner twice. The second time, the receptionist came and said they were in the next building and she would remind them. At 3:30 AM, we found about 20 people downstairs, chatting loudly and partying in the living room. We went out again close to 4 AM. They said they’d quiet down, but carried on until morning, and we couldn’t sleep at all. They were noisy and rude until 11 PM when they checked out. We were so fed up we considered calling the police. There was also a bad moment on May 1 around noon. After parking and getting ready to check in, I said, "Hello, we'd like to check in" to the first woman I saw near the pool. She rolled her eyes, ignored me, and rode off on her bike. We didn’t know who she was at first. The receptionist later said she was a cleaning staff member. Her more masculine personality made the experience much worse. I don’t understand why a guest should be treated like that. The receptionist and the room itself were fine, though. The first two times we asked the group to quiet down, a middle school student acted like it was none of his business, scrolling on his phone in bed and saying, "Is the soundproofing here really that bad?" I sincerely hope I can raise my own child better when I become a parent. The B&B operator needs to provide effective oversight and help deal with situations like this. He said I could call anytime, but his phone was unreachable at 4 PM. We were just very unlucky, but we didn’t get a wink of sleep that night.
