The room at Le Méridien Hualien Resort was spacious, spotless, and very comfortable, so it was easy to unwind after exploring the city. Everyone we met was welcoming, professional, and genuinely friendly. A special thanks to the short-haired lady who helped us check in. She was attentive and warm, and explained everything we needed to feel at home. It was a five-star stay, and I’d definitely choose this hotel again next time I’m in Hualien.

I didn’t stay at the hotel, just stopped in for a bite while it was raining. The bar food was quite good, the staff were incredibly friendly, and the gorgeous lobby was very quiet. The hotel is right in central Hualien.

The hotel is gorgeous and brand new, and the spa bedroom was amazing. It even had a mineral water spa bath overlooking the ocean. I’ve never had such a wonderful feature in a room. I also liked being able to refill the in-room bottles with free still or sparkling water from the hallway. We got complimentary high tea and a drink each day. Louis provided the extra service we needed. He’s amazing, fabulous service.

The breakfast buffet was wonderful, and the gym is well equipped. The Kids Club kept the kids happy for a few hours, and the resort is not far from the downtown night market. Every corner is nicely decorated and spotless, too. It’s a solid five-star hot spring resort. The hot spring pool on the 7th floor has no elevator access, though, and the outdoor pool isn’t illuminated. Seniors may need a little extra consideration.

My daughter’s birthday was during our stay, and they sent a small cake to the room. The hotel was lovely, with a pool and a nice kids room. It was clean and had lots of cute stuffed animals. My son liked the cars, and my daughter loved the slide. Breakfast was good, especially the beef soup. The only thing I didn’t like was how long check-in took.
