Chi Shing Hai Hotel

The hotel is old and nothing fancy, but the room is big and comfortable, good enough for a night. They provide room slippers. Bring your own shower gel and shampoo, since the ones supplied weren't labelled.

Our room was clean, well maintained, and really big. It had a balcony with a sea view, and the breakfast tasted good. Qixingtan is within walking distance, and the blue sea is lovely. Good value for money.

Our sea-view room was number 606, with two queen beds, a balcony with two chairs, and a separate toilet and shower room. The room condition was above average. Breakfast was included, but both the choices and amount of food were limited. The staff did check and replenish things in good time. The hotel is near Chi Shing Tan seaside, about a five-minute drive away. It's a lovely place to spend quality time with family, though I wouldn't recommend swimming because the waves are big and the shore is steep. There's also an airport next to the hotel. I saw fighter jets taking off and landing, which is a rare chance to see them so close, and noise wasn't a concern. I'd give it 4 stars and would return if I get another chance to visit this area.

The room was big, and from it I could watch the sunrise at 530am. I stayed two nights in hualien. Breakfast was simple but tasty. I missed the porridge with pork floss.
