One of Taiwan’s family chained fish hotels. The location is excellent, right in the city centre. The staff were really nice and helpful, including calling a taxi for guests. The room was clean and had all the essentials. Breakfast was a typical Taiwanese style.

The room has a good range of amenities, and having both a bathtub and a shower was a welcome touch. The walk to the night market takes about 15 minutes and passes some of the area's old streets. Breakfast was average at best, and the soundproofing is poor enough that you can hear the neighbors. Compared with its sister hotel in TaiTung, this property feels rundown. It’s part of a hotel chain in Taiwan.

For what we paid, it was a decent stay. The hotel was clean and the staff were friendly. We skipped the breakfast add-on. They provided a baby cot and a bathtub with a stool and scoop when we asked.

The room felt dated and poorly maintained, with a stiff bed, a weak shower, and no power outlet by the bedside. Parking was another problem: there’s no hotel lot, and the 100NTD per night subsidy wasn’t enough for nearby parking. We had booked two rooms but didn’t get any additional subsidy. I chose this place because it belongs to a reputable Taiwanese chain, but the stay was extremely disappointing and I wouldn’t return or recommend it. There are plenty of reasonably priced hotels around Hualien. This was one of my worst hotel experiences.

There were ants in our room, and the place seemed unclean and in need of maintenance. The hotel is very cheap, but it didn’t even provide soap. When we asked, staff told us to wash our hands with water.
