The toilets were spotless, with no mold stains at all, and parking was convenient. It’s also close to the city center. You can see how much care the owner puts into looking after children in details like the cassia seed sandpit. I’ll definitely come back next time.

With all our luggage and a child, having parking right outside the guesthouse made things so much easier. We could just pop downstairs to the car whenever we needed something, and it felt like home. My husband also loved the room’s heating, which was wonderfully warm after coming from hot Kaohsiung to chilly Hualien. Staying cozy and watching TV was lovely. The room was spacious and clean, and even the play area and bath toys were spotless. I’m usually hesitant to let my son play with bath toys, but he had a blast and wanted to come back early the next day just to bathe and rest! The owner was friendly from booking through check-in, and personally showed us around the room and explained the facilities, something I’d never had an owner do before. 👍 Our whole family agreed we have to stay at Finches B&B next time we’re in Hualien. Good Helper Cleaning came to Finches Family Homestay today to clean the air conditioners. With summer coming, the owner wants guests staying there over the summer vacation to have clean, cool air. Even though the economy is doing poorly, the owner feels it’s important not to cut corners on the necessary cleaning costs. Give the owner some encouragement! 👍👍

The kids didn’t want to leave, and I can see why: the B&B was very clean and the owner was so nice. We’d misjudged how long we’d need to buy souvenirs, and the owner even let us keep them chilled in the refrigerator until it was time for our train. I’m incredibly grateful, and I highly recommend this family-friendly B&B for a trip to Hualien.
