We spent nine days seeing Taiwan from Mr. Yang's car, and had so much fun visiting Alishan Forest Railway, Fenqihu, Yushan Mountain, Sun Moon Lake, Cingjing, Taroko Gorge, Hualien, the East Coast, Hongye Hot Springs, and Hualien Night Market. Mr. Yang, the guesthouse owner, also works as a guide. He drove, interpreted, showed us around, and took lots of photos with his DSLR, which made the trip so easy. He arranged everything for our Yushan Mountain climb. We kept in touch through Line, and he could reply in Japanese, which was a big help. We made it to the summit! The guesthouse itself was roomy, clean, and comfortable. We wanted to stay longer and will definitely come again. Next time, please take us camping in Kenting! ( ^ω^ )

The rooms were spacious and clean, and breakfast was delicious. The guesthouse sits in a lively area with plenty of places to eat, but being tucked down an alley kept it quiet. The owner was friendly and knew the neighborhood well, with lots of recommendations for sights and restaurants locals know.

Sam is a thoughtful, attentive host. He makes breakfast for himself every morning and is happy to suggest itineraries. There’s a kitchen with cookware and dishes, so it works especially well for a family or group of friends booking the whole place and making meals together.

The owner was kind and helpful, with good tips on food and fun places to visit. Our room was cozy, clean, and comfortable, and the breakfast they provided was a thoughtful touch. Such a comfortable stay. Highly recommend, thumbs up!

It feels homey, and the guesthouse is clean, cozy, and thoughtfully run. The owner treats guests like family and gives superb service. I'd definitely come back.
