Parking was easy under the bridge, and the place is also close to the city center. The landlady was very nice, our room was comfortable, and all the facilities worked properly. For a guesthouse, it was pretty good.

The hot water seemed to come from a storage heater, so it stayed hot for only about 15 minutes. Keep an eye on the time. The room and bathroom were a little small, but clean, with a comfortable bed and all the amenities we needed.

I booked eight months ahead and had a booking code, which I confirmed before arriving. I also checked with my bank and the payment had gone through. But on check-in day, the landlady said she hadn't received the booking confirmation and that every room was full, so I couldn't stay. She said she'd send the payment through Line, but no message ever came. Why was a bank transfer needed after the platform had already processed the payment? Please choose your accommodation carefully. It was a very poor experience.

The landlady was friendly, and I'd consider staying here again when I'm in Hualien. There are lots of parking spaces under the bridge, so driving to shopping areas is fine, though the night market and other big shopping spots are a bit far away. The guesthouse feels modern and is well equipped, but it doesn't have a refrigerator. The bed is comfortable, the TV is large with a clear picture, the bathroom is clean, the air conditioning is strong, the cold water pressure is high, and there are plenty of outlets. The hallway is soundproof. There aren't many rooms on the floor, so noise is manageable as long as guests keep it down. The main entrance's electronic lock is convenient, and the room door can be fully locked from inside.
