What an amazing home 🤩

Good.

There’s plenty of room, plus an elevator that makes getting between floors easy. The automatic mahjong table, billiards, and karaoke are great, and the soundproofing keeps the singing from carrying upstairs. The outdoor area has quite a few mosquitoes, so watch out if you have kids; mosquito coils are provided. Thanks to the Countryside B&B for putting on the lucky draw. We even got fried eggs and scallion pancakes to enjoy. Such a thoughtful touch! 💗

The place is spacious, and the entertainment facilities are generally good, but the karaoke rules were ridiculous. We rented the whole building to use them, yet were told to choose only non-cloud songs. The owners should sort that out instead of putting the restriction on guests. We were also uncomfortable with the condition of the place. The first-floor living room toilet hadn't been cleaned at all, and I wondered if other guests had used it before we arrived. The bathroom showerhead was badly chipped and hadn't been replaced. The air conditioner and ceiling fan might as well have been decorations; neither cooled us down. As for the two big outdoor pools, the water looked like it hadn't been changed in ages. Barbecuing outside means dealing with swarms of mosquitoes and black flies, so bring coils and repellent. I know running a guesthouse is hard, but guests should at least have basic comfort. Spending money isn't the main thing. If the owners don't have the heart for it, they should consider stopping.
