Just Stay

There are plenty of clean double rooms. The landlady is very nice, but when someone books two nights in a row, she should let them know before going into the room the next day. It seems like a small thing, but it can matter a lot. Also, booking the whole building may disturb the neighbors, so it isn’t a good fit for that.

We stayed here after visiting the island and Jiuzhize Hot Spring. It felt like coming home, thanks to the very friendly receptionist, and the rooms were clean and quiet. Dongmen Night Market is about a ten-minute walk away. They also kept prices the same over the Spring Festival holiday, which was generous. I’d recommend this guesthouse.

The place has a lively color scheme, and the owner was so welcoming. It was raining when we arrived, and she brought out hangers for our wet raincoats. She also quickly helped us push the two separate beds together and even cleaned a small stain under one of them. She was proactive about sorting things out and told us about activities around Yilan, which is useful if you don’t already have plans. The room had decent space, though the soundproofing was only average, and noise from the car wash next door might carry in. There aren’t many power outlets, so families with lots of devices may want to bring an extension cord.

The owners were kind and polite, and the rooms were neat and clean. It’s a roadside guesthouse with its own parking lot. Nothing fancy, but it feels simple and honest.
