Resort One Hotel

The spa was wonderful and made for a great weekend getaway. You can walk to the train station, and downtown is about 10-15 minutes away on foot. Two hotels share the spa, so compare room rates before booking to see what works best for you. We stayed at Resort One. The room was a little dated but comfortable, with the bonus of two large tubs. The walls are very thin, and conversations from neighboring rooms carry easily. Highly recommended, though light sleepers should bring earplugs.

Our room was spacious, but both of the rooms we booked were in the same poor condition: the hot and cold spa tubs weren't well kept, and there was visible mold on them. The woman who checked us in was rude and didn't sound friendly at all. We believe she was senior staff. I hope management sees this and improves these issues.

This American family had fun, though we weren't paying and didn't have expectations. The kids enjoyed feeding the fish and playing in the lobby. There was convenient parking, kind staff, and lots to do in the hot springs for both kids and adults. The activities weren't crowded, and the breakfast buffet was extensive. The hot and cold tubs in the room were fun too. On the downside, drainage was poor and some hot spring walkways were slippery. The hotel room bathroom and toilet had curtains but no doors or ventilation. Hmm, at least I'm not a newlywed.

The spa was good, with a hot spring pool and different water jet massage options, including a jacuzzi.
