Yusense Hotel

Good value, with a clean room and friendly service. Breakfast looked appealing, but the food didn't taste great: the congee was only lukewarm and the Danbing was greasy. The drinks were good.

Yusense Hotel felt peaceful and personal. The decor has a well-curated look, with hardwood furniture, unique artworks, an earthy palette, and a cozy sitting area on each floor. There are fewer than 15 rooms per floor, which kept things quiet. It's also only a few bus stops from Shilin and the metro. The staff were incredibly welcoming and helpful, even offering us an umbrella for free when it was raining hard as we checked out. We stayed four nights.

I was thrilled by the mountain views from this spectacular room. It was immaculate, and there were complimentary in-room treats, including fresh fruit, drinks, and thoughtful amenities. It suited my travel plans perfectly, and I wished I could have stayed longer.

The location worked really well for me: it's peaceful, with lots of little parks nearby and an easy walk to National Palace museum. You can also see local residences around there. Shilin station is a 10-minute bus ride away if you want somewhere busier, and there are lots of buses to get there. I loved Boulevard cafe in the next block, and the small convenience store across the street was well stocked. My room was quiet and comfortable, and the staff were friendly, professional, and efficient. I prefer their made-to-order breakfast to a buffet. The laundry room was a big plus at the end of my month-long holiday.
