Dwell in Quemoy Homestay

Good.

I picked this place because I love the atmosphere of old houses, and staying four days last year confirmed it was the right choice. It's a little far from the city center, but the room was spotless and tastefully decorated. The owners were friendly, and Atie, an adorable Shiba Inu, was there too. Their breakfasts were delicious, even my friends who don't usually care much about food said they missed them. The guesthouse has a peaceful, homey old-house feel, away from the noise of the city. Kinmen is amazing. I forgot to take the receipt when we left, but the owner personally mailed it to us in Taipei. I'm very grateful, and highly recommend the place to anyone visiting Kinmen.

After my flight was canceled, I called right away to book a room. It was comfortable, with a nice warm, temperature-controlled bathroom and excellent amenities. Breakfast was a thoughtful spread of classic Kinmen dishes. I first chose Shuntian Hotel because I love the structure and history of Kinmen's old houses, and found it a great place to have snacks and relax. The atmosphere and space are just right for taking your time. I'd recommend it for a snack or afternoon tea, or for a solo trip. And remember to be a polite traveler!

The inn sits in a traditional settlement, so staying there gives you a real feel for local life. It's built in authentic Minnan style, with history showing in every corner. The owner is warm and friendly. During my three-day stay, breakfast featured different Kinmen specialties each day. The building is a peaceful, relaxing spot for breakfast, and the owner also runs a café where you can spend the afternoon with coffee, a book, or a chat. Kinmen winters get cold, but the room has a small heater that warms it up after a while, and the bathroom is heated too, so showering isn't too chilly. I'd definitely stay again if I get the chance. Highly recommended.
