The four nights here really added a lot to our Kinmen trip. We felt the warmth of Kinmen, and we'd definitely like to return if we get the chance. We had the whole building to ourselves, so there was no worry about disturbing other guests. Before booking, I was a bit nervous because I couldn't find reviews, but the owners were so welcoming when I contacted them. I later found out the guesthouse had only been open for about a month. When we arrived, the traditional Fujian-style house impressed us, it felt both retro and luxurious. There was a tea table in the front hall, a large dining table in the open-air courtyard, and two long tables in the main hall. Bowls, plates, cups, and pots were there for us to use, which made it feel like home. There were two double rooms, two loft rooms for four, and two loft rooms for seven. The bathroom was a little small, but that's understandable given the limits of a traditional house, and it was still usable. I also loved all the patterned tiles. The old house had a modern touch-sensitive switch on the main gate. Outside there were an umbrella, table, and chairs, and it was lovely to sit facing the feng shui pond in the gentle breeze. The thoughtful young owner had left winter melon tea in the fridge and Kinmen peanut candy on the table. The empty candy plates were refilled each day, and bottled water by the entrance was replenished too.

The owner was wonderful, and the whole place felt clean and comfortable. I'd had a really bad time at other guesthouses in Kinmen before, but this time I was very happy with the family room I shared with my children. My friends loved it too. The old-fashioned house was charming and clean. My family saw the photos and said they definitely want to stay at Yi Pin Hui Guan next time they're here.

The rooms were comfortable, though the bedding could use a little improvement. This new guesthouse has an antique, charming look, with the original features preserved and renovated patterned brick walls that give it its own character. The owner is incredibly kind, the best I've ever met! 😆 It's a photogenic local guesthouse and I'd definitely recommend it. 👍🏻

The courtyard was our favorite part. Every evening we gathered there for late-night snacks, drinks, and chats, it was so relaxing. The rooms were modern and clean, and I'd highly recommend staying in a distinctive Minnan-style building when visiting Kinmen. 👍🏼 The owner was handsome and friendly, and the service was great. Even the assistant was so thoughtful. We didn't know the car rental company couldn't accept or deliver the sorghum liquor we'd bought, so the assistant went out of their way to bring it to the airport for us.

We self-checked in because of the pandemic, so I didn't meet the owner in person. 🥲 Parking was easy, though mosquitoes were probably the main downside. 😰 The Fujian-style architecture makes this B&B stand out, with beautiful floral tiles everywhere. It's affordable too, our group of three stayed in a seven-person room for under 700 per person per day. The bed was soft and comfortable, and the air conditioning was strong. For the price, there's not much to complain about. 👍🏻
