The rooms are quite new and nice, and Central Park MRT station is close by in a good central location. The setup is more like an Airbnb, with no regular reception, so you have to arrange a time for someone to let you in. On our last day we wanted to leave our bags there until we left the city later on, so we messaged them on LINE. The reply arrived three hours later, just eight minutes before the latest checkout time. We'd already given up and left. They apologized for the delay, but it left me wondering what would happen if we needed help in an emergency.

This is just about the drawbacks, so look elsewhere for the positives. The room had no window and felt damp. Even with the air conditioning running all night, our clothes and towels stayed wet. The shared water dispenser had little capacity: twice it ran out, and we waited more than an hour for it to refill. Each person got one regular pillow and one throw pillow, but the throw pillow was too small and offered far less support, so it wasn't comfortable. I understand the extra charge for a blanket, but this was the thinnest one I've come across in Taiwan guesthouses. In my experience, thin blankets are usually supplemented with a free or thicker spare. Noise was another issue. The room wasn't well soundproofed, so other guests using the common areas were disturbing. My travel companion also found the air conditioner too loud to sleep through, with its rhythmic running sound. Shoes had to come off in the common areas, but there weren't chairs or shoehorns at a suitable height. There was no resident front desk staff either, and communicating through messaging apps was a bit inconvenient.

I stayed May 23-25 and found the place incredibly comfortable. The artful corridors, public areas, water dispensers, and trash cans all helped make the trip feel relaxing. It's tucked into an alley, so driving there isn't ideal, but Central Park MRT station is right next door and very convenient. Thanks for such a lovely place to stay!

The lounge and hallway were the star for me. Their design draws on local history, and my friends and I spent nearly an hour taking pictures. It's very photogenic, with a different feel in the daytime and after dark. The bed was soft and comfortable, and the shower and toilet were great. The room also had a hairdryer, air conditioning, a dehumidifier, and a TV. You could hear a little flushing from the next bathroom stall, but it wasn't too bad. Finding the place in Shinjueko can be a little tricky, and motorcycles aren't allowed between 2 p.m. and 11 p.m. Otherwise, it was a fantastic stay.

I liked the relaxed, semi-self-service setup, without someone constantly stationed at a counter. 😅 The room wasn't huge, but it felt roomy and comfortable, with everything we needed. The clean, tidy lounge was a great place to hang out with friends, chat over instant noodles, and play some of the board games.
