Arthome Hotel

The owner was so kind and sweet, and I really enjoyed chatting with her. There’s impressive art in the halls, and the hotel is in a great spot not far from the night market. I’m taking off one star because card payments have an added 3% fee. I’d rather have that cost included in every bill than have to discuss an extra charge. Nobody likes being told there’s another 3%.

The service really stood out. The reception is only open from 8 a.m. to midnight, apparently due to limited staff, but they were attentive and went out of their way to help. My room was clean and spacious for the price, with a very comfortable bed and awesome artwork. The toilet looked dated, though. Formosa boulevard MRT felt like a bit of a walk to me, though others may find it fine. Liuhe night market is quite close, which was a plus.

The nearby eateries are plentiful, and the night market is within walking distance. The reception and customer service were top notch, and their sincerity came through as soon as we arrived. The rooms seemed recently furnished and had tasteful artwork, though the washroom had no decoration. During our stay, the water stopped twice, once in the evening and again the next morning. The staff's warmth and sincerity lifted the experience, but the basic facilities brought it back down to earth. :(

December 2024: I stayed again, for my fourth visit, and ArtHome keeps growing its brand. The artwork still impresses me. The hotel is immaculate from top to bottom, and you can see the effort they keep putting into improvements. There’s always something happening. It feels alive with art and culture. I don't understand the negative review calling the hotel 'dirty'. That is very wrong. Shame on that person, and please report them if you can. Thank you ArtHome, keep up the good work! I've stayed here a couple of times now, and I’m amazed by how the manager and staff keep trying to make the guest experience better. You can tell how much care goes into the place. They’re warm and friendly, and made me feel right at home. The artwork and decor are impressive, too, with a lot of thought behind making this somewhere special. I’d recommend staying here, and I’ll come back to Kaohsiung and stay again. I also saw a very negative review by someone who obviously is mentally challenged. Please disregard it. It has been handed over to the police, and I personally reported several inaccurate accounts to Google. Hopefully it will be removed soon. It’s unfair and wrong to deliberately try to hurt someone or a business to serve your ego or agenda. There’s no other hotel like this anywhere in Taiwan. Stop the negative nonsense and embrace the beauty.
