For the price, this was a fantastic deal, and I’d highly recommend it. Hotels have been getting too expensive, so I was glad to find this place. I spent 13 days here, though I noticed one downside: the walls are thin, and you can hear hallway sounds and neighbours showering, so light sleepers may want earplugs. My room matched the photos, clean and spacious, with a balcony that worked well for drying clothes. The bathroom was large, the hot water pressure was great, and there’s a shared washer and dryer. The building looks old and the foyer is a little intimidating, but Color Fun Inn on the 7th floor felt like another world. Someone was waiting to check me in after my late flight and explained everything. All the staff were incredibly friendly. Many reviews mentioned cigarette smells, but I didn’t notice any during my 12 nights.

The owner let us into our room before the 3 pm check-in time because we were all exhausted after a rough night that started around 5 pm the day before. We got here around noon, and I’m truly grateful they helped make our first day in Taiwan memorable. The room was comfortable, spacious, and clean. The inn was easy to locate, and Google directions took us to the right place. The one suggestion I have is to make the water heater warmer in winter. We loved the location and the inn, and would try it again on a future Kaohsiung visit.

We found the rooms clean and comfortable, with a decent-sized fridge, air conditioning, a large shower, cable TV, and a nice bed. There’s also a laundry machine guests can use. The staff were friendly, spoke English, and answered our questions. The location is quite good, close to restaurants, convenience stores, and public transport. I enjoyed staying at Color Fun Inn and would come back next time I’m in Kaohsiung, Taiwan.

There’s no room safe, and the free washing machine is only available until 10 pm, with no dryer. For drying clothes or washing after that time, you’ll need the coin laundry room on the first floor. The room is nice, the staff are friendly, the location is convenient, and the price is affordable. One thing to plan for: the entrance is locked, and there’s no hotel staff on site from 11 pm to 9 am. If you arrive after 11 pm on check-in day, you need to phone the night shift staff to come open the door. If you can’t make the call yourself, the first-floor security guard can help.

The staff were friendly, and the location was convenient. Our room was clean and quite spacious, so it was a good stay overall. The only downside was that there wasn’t much natural light in our room. I’d recommend it.
