There’s a warm feeling in every corner, and the owner is very chatty. The place is clean and tidy, and you can admire the art murals too.

I booked this thinking it was a reasonably priced B&B with no strict latest check-in. The trouble was the water: when I arrived around 10 PM, the shower was barely warm, and switching to cold gave either no water or hot water. We wondered if we were being too sensitive, though our skin went very red after bathing. Since that started after using the bath products, we had to rinse the bubbles off. The showerhead felt like a hot spring, and there was no water for brushing teeth, washing our faces, or flushing the toilet either. I had to go down to the lobby for a pot of water. Water finally came back at 7 AM, but we had woken at 4 AM and were packing to check out at 10 PM, so we didn't use any during our stay. I guess we helped Taiwan conserve water.

It felt like staying at home here, and I really liked the cozy atmosphere. The place was clean and hygienic, and I slept comfortably on the bed with those pillows. I'd definitely return next time.

They even treated us to a hot spring bath, which was such a nice touch. The guesthouse itself is beautiful, and both the owner and I are very kind. A must-stay when visiting Zhiben!
