The rooms were spacious and clean, with clean sheets. I didn't mind the dark decor, and the south-facing window let in plenty of daylight. The bathroom was roomy, with a nice shower, a separate tub, and a proper door. Breakfast was pretty good for a buffet, and the hotel provided free water bottles and snacks each day. There is no self-service laundry at the hotel, despite what some older reviews may say. The laundromat nearby was good, but don't expect machines in the hotel. The Wi-Fi was absolutely terrible and kept cutting out, so I had to use mobile data.

The pillow was the best I've ever slept on, somehow even better than my one at home. The room and bathroom were clean and large. The cleaning staff were so kind, and tidied up as well as cleaned. The front desk service had that friendly Taiwan feel. ☺️ The rooftop breakfast restaurant has a lovely view.

The breakfast had a good range of choices, but at 10 sharp they shut it down very quickly, even drawing a curtain around all the food. It felt almost theatrical. The location is hard to fault, right by the Kaohsiung metro, and the rooms are huge. Still, my room was much too dim, with no central ceiling light, so it felt a bit like a haunted house. The gym was another letdown: basically just a row of treadmills. A dumbbell and a bench would be a start.

Check-in was easy, and the room felt roomy and comfortable. Formosa boulevard MRT interchange is only a few minutes away on foot, too. A good option for a visit to Kaohsiung.

We had a very spacious room after getting upgraded when we arrived. Breakfast was a generous buffet with lots to choose from, and there’s complimentary coffee and tea in the lobby downstairs. The hotel is close to the MRT, which made the location great. We really enjoyed our stay and would come back.
