Hotel R14

We found the hotel comfortable and well located, with several places to eat nearby. The vegetarian breakfast had a nice selection, though everything was cold, and there wasn’t much fruit or juice. The restaurant only operates at breakfast. One morning, a woman lifted some bread to smell it and put it back in the container. I told the staff, who removed it, but after that I didn’t feel like eating. Our room on the 11th floor was very comfortable, with a great full glass window and English-language TV channels. A few things could be better: there was no safe, and when we arrived late and tired from a long flight, the room’s coffee had no milk. The kitchen was locked, so we were told to get milk at breakfast. Fortunately, a nearby convenience store was open.

The rooftop has a lovely city view, and breakfast had a wide range of choices, including vegetarian dishes. Staff were good, and it was easy to get to amenities and a night market from this comfortable hotel.

The short walk to the metro and night market was really convenient, and the breakfast was a full vegetarian buffet that we looked forward to every morning. We stayed here for our honeymoon and loved it. The room was spacious, the toilet clean, and the bed comfortable. We can’t wait to come back. It truly deserves five stars.

I spent 11 nights here on a work trip and would happily stay again. The staff were attentive and very friendly. The room had two queen beds and was spacious, with an almost full-length desk that gave me lots of room to spread my things out. The shower doors leaked, but housekeeping replaced my towel and bathmat every day. Bring washcloths, as none are provided. I wasn’t keen on the breakfast, which seemed aimed more at local tastes than foreign guests, though there’s a McDonalds close by. The location is hard to beat: station R14 is visible from the hotel entrance, Ruifeng Night Market is five minutes away, Family Mart and 7-Eleven are three minutes away, and a shopping mall with a huge food court is a ten-minute walk. I had to ask for ice each afternoon because the machine is locked away in the kitchen, but the staff were always glad to help.
