We chose Jin Bao Hotel for a quiet two-night break as a couple, but the stay was badly managed and a huge disappointment. The room wasn't cleaned at all during those two nights. We came back from sightseeing to unmade beds, used towels piled up, and overflowing bins. It felt gross and unwelcoming, and the lack of basic housekeeping ruined the trip for us. We strongly suggest finding somewhere else in Kaohsiung City if hygiene and reliable service matter to you. The room was also old and worn: the floor was badly scuffed, the internet was slow and unreliable, and the bathroom fixtures were long overdue for renovation. The staff we met were friendly, and check-in went smoothly, but that couldn't make up for no housekeeping throughout our stay.

The location is a strong point, about 200 metres on foot from Kaohsiung train hub, with MRT and local intercity trains there. The hotel has several room types. I'd avoid the small ones, though the larger rooms are acceptable. Rooms were clean, and the staff were polite, friendly, and helpful when we raised any issues.

We had a room with no windows and a bad smell, and the hallway was pretty noisy at night. The location is good. If you're traveling with kids, keep them from playing with the TV, since it has some adult channels.

Nothing felt right here. The location wasn't good, the corridor looked awful, and the room was tiny and old. The shower head was coming out of its place, and the whole bathroom got soaked after bathing. The blanket was dirty, and there were strands of hair on the bedsheet when we checked in. The TV kept switching itself off after a few seconds, and the Wi-Fi signal was weak.

Good value for foreign workers looking to take a vacation 😁, and the station is close by, so it's easy to get around 👍🏻
