Nothing fancy here, but it’s clean and comfortable, the staff are friendly, and breakfast is included. The price seemed reasonable and things ran efficiently.

Really convenient for getting around, tucked behind the train station. It’s quiet, affordable, and makes for an easy stay ^^

The room was compact, and the single bed took up about a third of the floor space, so it felt a little cramped. I slept reasonably well on the medium-firm mattress, though the pillow was soft and could use more support. There were only two clothes hangers, and just one room key, which made charging devices while out less convenient. The ceiling is about four metres high, so there’s plenty of vertical space, and the quiet hair dryer worked, though its airflow seemed weak for long hair. A few details caught me out. The Panasonic wall-mounted air conditioner needs the card inserted and the “Stop” and “Run” buttons pressed, then takes around 3-5 minutes to start. The refrigerator door opens in an unusual direction, and only three sheets of toilet paper had been left, probably missed during cleaning. There’s no bathtub, and the electric water heater also takes 3-5 minutes to warm up. That seems fine in summer, but could be less convenient in winter. The shower gel smelled nice. The sink didn’t splash much, but its low-angled faucet made washing my face awkward. The toilet worked normally, though grab bars would help older guests or anyone with mobility issues. The red-and-white checkered wall is quite striking and might bother people who are sensitive to dense patterns. The weekday single room was around NT$1300 (±10%), which seemed good value for Kaohsiung. The first-floor lobby looked stylish and thoughtfully laid out. There’s no elevator, in keeping with the hotel’s environmental approach, so I walked up to my third-floor room. They also skip disposable toothbrushes and toothpaste, so bring your own. A bottle of mineral water was provided, the basic amenities were there, and I found four electrical outlets, two in the room and two in the bathroom, handy for charging two phones and a power bank. The TV looked modern, and the bins had a distinctive design. It’s a small, minimalist business hotel with an eco-friendly approach and some thoughtful touches. A few things could be improved, but the shortcomings didn’t spoil the stay. For me, it came to 4.4 out of 5.

I stayed three days and two nights, and found dried blood on the sheets the first morning. When I called the front desk, they asked whether housekeeping could come later or whether I wanted the sheets changed right away. I was trying to be understanding and asked when they’d come after checkout to clean. I was told they’d return around 1 PM after dinner, but nobody showed up until after 3. When I asked for the comforter to be moved so the staff could change the bedding, I found more dried blood on the underside of the sheets. I’m glad I took photos. They didn’t even apologize, and the whole thing was disgusting. The front desk response was terrible in general, including when I’d missed the registration time for breakfast delivery. Does this hotel provide any staff training? I would never recommend staying here. Paying money to be treated this way was awful.
