The place is a little outside the city, but at night I enjoyed hearing birds and insects. Our room was neat and clean, and the hostess was genuinely warm and welcoming. We did run into a few small hiccups, though the hospitality made the stay excellent overall. One thing that could use attention is the bathroom showerhead, which leaked a little and should be repaired.

The room was bright and airy, with a window in the bathroom and faucets with scald protection. It was quiet around the property, yet still close to the city center, and renting a scooter made it easy to explore the island. The landlady welcomed me from day one, picked me up at the airport herself, and offered fruit. She has a cat too, so cat lovers can give it a pet. :) I’d definitely stay here again on another trip to Penghu.

The guesthouse is new and very clean, with convenient parking for both cars and motorcycles. It’s near the city center, so finding somewhere to eat is easy. The landlady was friendly, cut fruit for guests, and gave plenty of help with planning an itinerary. She can also arrange Erxin rice balls and Zhongji sesame cakes, which often have long lines, so you can save a lot of waiting. I’d recommend it to anyone still looking for a place to stay in Penghu.

It’s tucked away in a small alley, so navigation had a bit of trouble finding it. The place feels more like a private home than a guesthouse, and there’s a cat inside, with a noticeable cat smell. You have to carry your bags upstairs because there’s no elevator. The water dispenser is on the first floor, so getting water means going up and down the stairs. We had no kettle, tea, or coffee packets, and only got two small bottles of mineral water for three days. I didn’t take photos because there wasn’t much worth photographing. It was the most memorable guesthouse I’ve had in ten years. I still don’t understand why a Google reviewer gave it five stars.
