Uni Resort-Histsuwan

There were bed bugs! We stayed two nights in the building across the street from the main hotel and came away with lots of bed bug bites. The room didn't seem very clean or recently used, the pillowcases had holes, and the towels were fraying. We were worried we'd carried the bugs home. Avoid at all costs! I messaged the hotel afterward to report the bed bugs and got no response. That's super irresponsible. I also saw another site's review from someone who'd had bed bugs before, so this had apparently been reported already. AVOID AT ALL COSTS.

The staff were really friendly and went out of their way to help. The harbor views were great too.

The room was spotless and the service was right on point. I'd been keeping this place in mind for a while when booking in Kaohsiung, and the view was superb. I'll be back.

The room card gave me trouble and stopped working a few times, so I had to get replacements. There was also a brief power cut once in a while. Those were the only real downsides for me. I paid a little over a hundred dollars and got a really well-designed room with a bathtub and free buffet breakfast. The food was the same every day, but still. The hotel was comfortable, and I hardly saw anything broken or supplies missing. The scenery wasn't great with all the construction nearby. Location is average, though there's a seven eleven close by and the train station is really near. If you want a cheap, good hotel, this could be for you. I'd recommend a visit. Just check in or out before midnight or after 6am, since the receptionist is closed between those times.
