This was the worst hotel I've visited and the worst part of the trip. Smoke came through the air system from somewhere in the building whenever someone smoked in another room. I complained to the front desk twice. They moved me once, but the new room had the same problem. The hotel had no effective way to prevent it or improve the airflow, despite its no-smoking policy. I smelled smoke all night while trying to sleep, and my throat became sore. There were only two electrical sockets in the room, which wasn't enough. The hair dryer was rusty and didn't get very hot. If you're looking for a good-value hotel, this isn't the place.

The air conditioning was stronger than we liked, so bring a jacket if you don't handle cold AC well. Aside from that, we enjoyed staying here with our two kids. It's close to the night market and lots of shops, so finding food wasn't a problem. The hotel is old, but inside it was very clean. Good value for the money.

The employees were especially helpful and the service was excellent. Breakfast was included and very good, and the room was clean and reasonably priced. I stayed for three nights. The night market, train station, and Yang Ming Museum are all a short walk away.

We knew when booking that the room had no window, so that wasn't an issue for us. The location is about as good as it gets, and the staff were friendly and spoke English. For a fair price we got a large room in a classic-style hotel, a hot shower, and a breakfast buffet with plenty of choice. I can't think of anything to complain about.
