We spent two weeks here while visiting family in Taipei. Cost was the main reason we booked: at the time, it was half the price of Courtyard Taipei in Nangang, a few MRT stops away. Being near family and an MRT station mattered too. We'd stayed about the same length of time at Courtyard Taipei in 2024 and enjoyed it, so I was a bit apprehensive about how this place would compare. It was a mixed bag, but good value for the money. I'd give it 3.5 stars if Google allowed half stars. The room was big enough to fit our three 24-inch suitcases and two carry-ons under the counter and desk. Check-in was quick, and the front desk and restaurant staff were attentive. Breakfast was included, with a decent spread; they changed some dishes daily or every other day during our stay. The location worked well for us. It isn't as convenient as Nangang for rail and high-speed rail connections, but it's close to our family's home and there's an MRT station right outside. A new shopping mall with good lunch and dinner options is only two stops away. There are signs of cost cutting, and some things need attention. Housekeeping missed replenishing our coffee and tea several times. By the end of the first week, we were running out of shower gel and hand soap, and I had to ask three times over three days to get both refilled. We also had to request fresh bed linens twice after a week. To be fair, the housekeeping staff seemed overworked. I think there were maybe three or four housekeepers for the whole hotel, which doesn't seem like enough, though I understand costs have to be cut somewhere. The towels were frayed and overdue for replacement. There was water damage on the room walls, likely related to Taipei's humidity and possibly the air conditioning not running while rooms are vacant. The room was large but had no nightstands or coffee table, only one chair, and no proper closet, just a hanging bar with hangers. Eating in the room wasn't pleasant, even for two people. There was almost no drawer space: two drawers, and the bottom one held the safe. Soundproofing from outside needs serious work. The buffet could use more Western-style food, and the few such items were sometimes dry. Would we stay again? Possibly, depending on how our credit card points work out.

The mountain views were lovely, and the hotel was clean, bright, and sunny. It's near the Metro, the staff were excellent, and breakfast was good. My only downside was the six-hour parking fee for two nights. I'd happily stay again.

The location is handy, right by the MRT exit, with lots of restaurants and a Px Mart nearby. Our room was spacious and clean, the front desk staff were very polite, and breakfast had a wide variety even though the dining area was cramped. The upkeep was a real problem. The towels looked dirty and worn, with a sticky feel that made them seem extremely old. Traffic noise came through easily, and the wallpaper was peeling and discolored from dampness. With these maintenance issues, I wouldn't recommend staying here again.

Breakfast was the highlight for me. I stayed five nights and the menu changed every day, with lots of variety and really tasty food. Getting around was easy, with the nearest bus stop and train station just a few minutes away. Dahu park is one station from the hotel. Check-in went smoothly, and the friendly staff spoke good English and lent us an umbrella on a rainy day. The room was a little small, but just right for one person. The bathroom was quite large and had a big bathtub. There are washing machines and a gym on the R floor. The gym is small, but that's understandable.

My room had a nice view, though traffic outside made it a little noisy. It didn't bother me, but if you need absolute quiet for sleeping, you might want to ask for a room on the other side. The location is convenient, next to the train station and close to several bus lines, with groceries, banks, convenience stores, food, and drinks only a few minutes' walk away. The staff were welcoming and very helpful, and the team seemed well trained. Rooms are clean and spacious. Breakfast choices are limited, but good enough to fuel a full day, and there was something new each day during my week-long stay. Highly recommended.
