Yung Feng Hotel

The food was good, and there were drinks by the elevators. It's really close to a night market, too. The beds are hard and the walls thin enough that I could hear people through them and the doors. Aside from that, things were good.

We weren't told until we arrived that the free parking wouldn't work for a larger car, and were directed to park somewhere else. The washer and dryer were broken and left our clothes wetter than before. Terrible service.

The location is good, and it's an inexpensive, cost-effective option for a night or two. But the cleaning was poor: even though the bed was made daily, there was still lots of hair on the floor and the cups hadn't been washed. I didn't feel much hospitality from the staff either. We couldn't control the room temperature, and it was too cold.

The room was comfortable enough, though the pillows were very hard. We were on the sixth floor, looking out at a brick wall, and the thin walls meant we could hear the neighbors. Still, the staff were very helpful at check-in. The hotel is about a minute from the night market and a six-minute walk from the harbor, so it's handy for a one-night stop to explore the market and town. The shower had great pressure and very hot water.
