We found this guesthouse by chance while traveling with family, and its beautiful look caught my eye first. The rooms were very clean, with plenty of snacks and coffee on the first floor. Ayun at the front desk was lovely and chatted with us so warmly that we felt right at home. I’d choose to stay here again if I came back.

The location made it easy to get food and shop, and we felt the stay was great value. We’d definitely return to Leyu Castle. It was a spontaneous Xiaoliuqiu trip, and we’d been searching for somewhere family-friendly when we came across it. The shuttle driver met us at the pier and took us to the guesthouse to collect our scooter, which was very well maintained. Xiaoyun at reception was friendly, professional, and helpful with questions and itinerary ideas. She even gave us samples of fried dough twists, and the guesthouse offered a souvenir ordering service. The lobby had cookies and decent coffee. Both the lobby and rooms were tidy and clean, so the children could safely play on the floors. The rooms were spacious and the beds comfortable. The shuttle driver, whose name I forgot to ask, gave us a detailed introduction to Leyu Seaview Hotel’s surroundings and facilities. I’m also grateful to Ms. Xiaoyun at the front desk for being so friendly. I didn’t take many room photos to share. There were a couple of things to fix. The bathroom door in room 207, which separates the wet and dry areas, was hard to close. The stairs had no anti-slip material, and one of our companions slipped and fell. I suggest adding anti-slip strips to the stair edges.

The main drawbacks were the lack of an elevator, which could be tough for older people or anyone with lots of luggage, and the lobby air conditioning switching off at 5 PM. In summer it can get a bit stuffy. The toilets sometimes smelled, though a window could be opened for ventilation. I was on the second floor in a large, clean room with a balcony. Downstairs, the lobby had a coffee machine, snacks, a water dispenser, and ice, which was handy. We got breakfast discount coupons, and the two Gogoro bikes I rented from the Airbnb were new and easy to ride. The staff were very helpful, and it was a good experience overall.
