Hsitou Man Tuo Xiang Homestay

It took about 20 minutes to see the whole place, and it was much smaller than I expected. I was really excited after seeing all the photos and good reviews, but it turned out to be a big letdown. Some of the old buildings are falling apart, and about half of them have no shops. Most of the monster stuff is gone or looks old. If you're going, plan to hike the nearby trails too so the trip feels worthwhile.

The kids were busy and happy all day, especially during the nighttime treasure hunt, which they thought was a fun, creative adventure. We regretted staying only one day and would recommend booking at least two nights to fit more in. Our family of five, with children aged 9, 7, and 4, had a fantastic time at The M Village. The hotel is beautiful and relaxing, with plenty for children to do. Our room was spacious, modern, and comfortable for all of us, and the breakfast buffet had loads of tasty choices, even for our youngest picky eater. The 24/7 supermarket on site was handy for late snacks, drinks, or forgotten things. There are lovely, unusual hiking trails nearby, with nature right outside. Every staff member we met was kind, welcoming, and happy to help. We can't wait to come back!

Getting here is easy. Take the 6883 tourist bus from Taichung Station.
