The room was very well kept, from the floor and bedding to the toilet, with top-notch cleanliness. Breakfast was another highlight, tasty and well prepared in traditional Taiwanese style. The boss and his wife were so accommodating and hospitable that they really added to our three-day, two-night stay. Xitou Nature Forest Park and Demon Village are both within walking distance. I’d recommend it to anyone after affordable accommodation with a super friendly boss.

The room was clean, and the bed and pillow were comfortable. Breakfast had tasty choices from both Western and local menus. The proprietor and his wife were friendly and suggested places to visit. I’d stay here on our next trip.

This family-run hotel gave me the most thoughtful, caring service I’ve experienced, including at breakfast. The owners are a friendly couple, and the level of personal attention was above and beyond. If I return to this area, I’ll definitely stay here. It’s hard to imagine finding a warmer place.

The owners are experts on the nearby forests and recommended Sun Link Sea forest, which I loved even more than Xitou forest. They were also a big help with transportation, including showing me how to reserve bus tickets for longer trips like Xitou bus station to Taichung. If you ask, they’ll even arrange rides to nearby places. They picked me up at the bus station, took me to Xitou bus station, and dropped me at a restaurant 1km away, all covered by the original room payment. You can book through LINE and pay when you arrive. This is one of the best value budget hotels for visiting xitou forest: it’s within walking distance, includes breakfast, and they clean the room regularly. They’ll make traditional oolaong tea in the lobby if you request it beforehand, and the husband and wife who own it are extremely kind and considerate. Breakfast was great too. You choose from a Chinese/English menu, then they cook it fresh and serve it. I recommend the milk toast with milk tea :)
